Review of Todd Alcott’s Sci–Fi Tarot

If you are a tarot reader, and a fan of science-fiction, then you will surely want to get this fantastic deck! Each image is inspired by retro futuristic art, with some of the cards tied into more traditional tarot imagery. The illustrations are really wonderful and SO fun! There are aliens, astronauts, robots, spaceships, and all sorts of various characters and scenes. The minor arcana cards are numbered if they do not have names, so there is no difficulty with identifying the cards.

I had a lot of difficulty picking out some favourite cards to show here because every card is truly fabulous!

The cards shuffle nicely and are easy to use. And the booket for this deck is wonderful! It provides a science-fiction spin on the traditional meanings, I just adore that so much. It is written in the voice of AncHistBot H-280/Z, long after humans have disappeared and machines are now dominate on Earth. The blending of tarot and science fiction just works so perfectly. I have spent quite a lot of time with this deck and have had some intriging readings with it. I really enjoy having an element of science-fiction in my readings and this has become one that I frequently choose to use.

You can buy the deck here at The Philosopher's Guild website: https://philosophersguild.com/collections/tarot/products/sci-fi-tarot   Or, check out your local bookshops. Where I live we have a book shop that brings in a lot of the items from The Philosopher's Guild.

Also, take a look around their site, there is a lot of fun items, and from my experience the quality has been superb. I have the Pulp Fiction deck (also by Todd Alcott), an Andy Warhol doll, and many years ago purchased a Cheshire Cat heat changing mug for one of my kids which no matter how many times it was washed over the years, the design never peeled off. Next I’ve got my eye on the Star Trek Magnetic Playset, and the heat changing Star Trek Transporter mug! There  is everything available there from watches (and even a Star Trek one that is so cool!) to various decor, dolls of various well known artists, finger puppets, hair pins, games, t-shirts and more!
